Seeks warmth and companionship

Tail obscures the screen

Kitten in the sink

Waits patiently for magic

Water splash to drink

Crinkle ! Rustle! Thunk!

Morning noises greet the dawn

Cats clean up the dressers

Plaintive howling cries

Behind closed doors she recalls

Loneliness and fear

Face to face she stares

Her eyes bore into mine and then
