When I look at a willow

You know, those wonderfully droopy trees?

I often liken them to loving arms

Reaching out to me from the center

Of a rooted, constant creation.

They must have been placed here

By a loving Creator

For, how often do we need an embrace

And these trees open their arms?

May we learn from the Willow:

Just bend a bit, and you will give

Much happiness and Love

Which will come back to you

When you least expect it!

WEEPING WILLOWS

When I look at a willow

You know, those wonderfully droopy trees?

I often liken them to loving arms

Reaching out to me from the center

Of a rooted, constant creation.

They must have been placed here

By a loving Creator

For, how often do we need an embrace

And these trees open their arms?

May we learn from the Willow:

Just bend a bit, and you will give

Much happiness and Love

Which will come back to you

When you least expect it!
